Background
With many years of soils and agronomy experience, our goal is to integrate soil and
landscape analytics with soil nitrate sensing technology so farmers can precision-manage
nitrogen fertilizer within fields. That increases yields and farm profitability, and
decreases the environmental impact of nitrogen fertilizer.
How it works
We use data analytics to generate high-resolution landscape maps of soils and elevation,
predicted corn yields, estimated land value and overall farmland evaluation.
We are also developing sensing technology that uses, for the first time, a diamond
coupled with a miniaturized and robust Fourier Transform Infrared spectrometer to
measure soil nitrate in field-moist soil — in about one second.
Our vision
We use landscape data for farmland evaluation, generating maps of soils and elevation,
predicted corn yields and estimated land values, and we are developing a soil nitrate
sensor that can write high-resolution prescriptions for precision nitrogen application.
Customers get high-resolution data and interpretive maps of their farm fields.
